Connect to CNIX
If you wish to connect to CNIX, please email engineering@cnix.ie, you will need to meet the current Membership Requipments detailed below.
Membership Requirements
1. Members must have an Autonomous System number registered with RIPE or other appropriate authority.
2. All networks announced at CNIX must be registered with RIPE or other appropriate authority.
3. CNIX member must have at least 1 (2 being preferred) connection to the CNIX Layer 2 Switch infrastructure hosted in the Cork Internet Exchange (a Commercial Carrier Neutral Data Center in Cork) the Ethernet ports must not be auto-sensing with respect to speed or duplex, these must be explicitly configured.
4. CNIX members must advertise only networks which they are responsible for, this is defined as; Networks assigned to a member, or networks which the member has been paid to provide transit.
5. CNIX will provide an IP Address to each member, all Peering must be completed using this IP Address over the CNIX infrastructure
6. All traffic to a specific port from a member must have the same source mac-address.
Associate Membership
If you don't meet the membership requirements, you can still be involved with CNIX by becoming an Associate Member.
Associate members benefit from being part of this community by having access to CNIX member meetings, and email communications.
